I made this post to keep in draft where I can quickly write a sentence or two when a random idea occurs to me that I might later be able to turn in to a new blog post.
Here are some of the ideas that never made it off the page….
After waiting for Jupiter Ascending to come out for months, opening weekend at my local multiplex cinema and they have ONE SINGLE SESSION of it in 3D scheduled for the late screening. Meanwhile, #FiftyShadesOfBullshit screens every hour on the hour.
Now having seen Jupiter Ascending, I am more understanding.
What if that thing where you go to a room, then forget why you went in to that room… turn around and go back out of the room…. remember why you went in the room initially…. go back in the room…. etc….
What if that means we are all sims and that is where our pathing gets screwed up.
Re-watched the Robot Chicken Bitch Pudding Special for the sixth time. I want the DVD version to have an Easter Egg hidden section where you can enter a code to view the entire episode uncensored. Not the greatest adult control ever invented – but still way better than ‘Are you 18+? Yes/No’ with buttons. Its less about the control and more about making it an exclusive thing that you have to be on your social media game to know about.
Streaming video service along the lines of Netflix, except where viewers can record their own Movie Commentary (or TV show). Viewers can publish their commentary and rate others. Flags for posts with language, adult content, etc for parental controls on the site.
The Great Pizza Experiment
Pizza place that you order online for.
You create an online account and begin experimenting with your favourite combination of toppings (or select from a range of favourites for those in a rush).
On screen, it shows you what the uncooked and cooked versions of your pizza would look like including variations such as – Light Pepperoni, Pepperoni, Extra Pepperoni – at least once you have sauce and cheese on it
After you try the result, you rate the combo. If the combo was good enough to order again, you can submit a name of the pizza. If approved, that pizza will be a permanent menu standing item in the Customer Created section (which can in turn be sorted by ratings of customers that order it, best, newest) Plus recipe tags like #seafood #vegetarian #spicy #gluten free as filters. Oh and the customer responsible gets a lifetime discount when ordering that pizza.
Gradually, the store introduces new ingredients to allow experimentation with new toppings. Or have a special where a small pizza of a combo you havent tried before is free with any order above $X.
A central web portal could become the hub for a franchise chain covering different delivery areas.
