Focus: Shichi-Go-San. A Japanese festival day whose name literally translates to Seven-Three-Five. It is a traditional rite of passage for 3 and 7 year old girls, and 5 year old boys, celebrating the growth and well-being of young children. Note, the numbers correlating with ages are considered lucky. Children wear traditional dress such as kimono (many for the first time) for visits to shrines.
Trivia: Despite never having received naval training or prior experience in naval combat before the war, and despite being constantly outnumbered and out supplied, Admiral Yi Sun Shin defeated 333 Japanese ships with only 13 Korean ships at the Battle of Myeongnyang.
